“Lynne and the Duet team delivered a programme of training across the whole Hallmark group, engaging our Registered Nurses, senior carers and care assistants.

The feedback we had from the team was phenomenal, they reported increased awareness and confidence levels with many saying the training equipped them to better advocate for residents and to better support residents in managing their diabetes.

A number of the team reported taking the learning into their personal lives and now better understand their own condition or can better support loved ones who are living with diabetes.

As a direct result of the foot care training provided during the sessions, we have implemented the risk examination of the diabetic foot tool which was provided as part of the training.

This has meant our team now has an evidence-based tool which enables them to easily identify when a resident may be at risk of diabetic foot ulcers.”

Improving diabetes care in Norfolk and Waveney with the regional ICB

“It wasn’t an easy task to collate training sessions for 5 geographical areas across Norfolk and Waveney, but the feedback from those who attended the training has made it a great project to work on.

I attended some of the sessions to answer any localised questions and take points away to enhance the personal development side, and it was great to see how engaging the sessions were.

I have had numerous people who attended the sessions come to me asking if we can get some more set up for their colleagues, which we are really hoping to implement.

We are excited to see the positive impacts we hope this training will have on people living with diabetes. Thanks so much to the DUET team for working with us.”
